Getting the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card is easy. Click on “Get a Card”, where we will ask you to enter your name, address, and telephone number. There is no credit check or application. Due to newly adopted government regulations, all customers are also required to provide their date of birth and one form of government ID to receive a MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card. All U.S. citizens must provide their Social Security Number as the form of government ID. Non-U.S. citizens can provide an alternative form of ID, such as a Driver's License, Passport, Alien Registration, etc. Once this information has been verified you are accepted and a card will be mailed to your address within 5 – 7 business days.
How do I get a MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card for my Teen?
A Parent can get a MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card for their Teen who is at least 13 years old. Just choose Supplemental Card Purchase and a Card to get started. You'll choose the card design, set up a card account profile for each of you. Once your card account is established, you can start using the service right away. Your MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card will arrive in about 10 business days.
Can my MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card be sent to a PO Box?
No. Due to newly adopted regulatory policies and procedures, MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Cards must be sent to a physical address.
Why would my card account be cancelled?
If you submit an image that is deemed offensive or if you repeatedly submit images that are unacceptable, we reserve the right to exclude you from using the service.

Is identification required to use the card?
It's always a good idea to have identification, such as a school ID or driver's license with you when you use the card. A merchant may request to see it, although it is not required to use the card. Be sure to sign your card so the merchant can verify your signature with the one on the receipt.
What are the monthly fees for my Card?

How do I check my Card balance?
You can check your Card balance for FREE online at www.myschooldebitcard.com . Or get FREE balance alerts via email or by text message to your cell phone. You can also call Customer Service at 1-877-732-7115.
What if I don't agree with my available balance?
You can review posted transactions online for any discrepancies. If a problem exists, please keep in mind that your card account may have pending authorizations that should be complete as soon as the merchant settles on the transaction. For instance, if you purchase gas and the merchant runs the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card for $55, MySchoolDebitCard™ will hold this amount for the merchant. If the total purchase comes to $30, the merchant will complete the transaction by collecting on the $30. The remaining $25 will be released back to your card account.
What if one of the posted transactions on my card account is illegitimate?
Please contact the merchant and verify that the purchase is not legitimate. If this is the case, request that the merchant reverse the transaction and credit your card account with the funds. If the merchant does not cooperate, please call 1-877-732-7115 for further assistance.
What is the minimum balance required to rent a car?
You need at least 15% above the authorized security deposit amount to rent a car. However, not all car rental agencies accept the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card.
What is a PIN?
A Personal Identification Number (PIN) allows you to access your funds so you can withdraw cash at an ATM. To perform such a transaction you must select debit card or checking account at the ATM console.
Can I change my password/PIN?
Yes. You can change your password/PIN through our website at www.myschooldebitcard.com or by calling us at 1-877-732-7115 and using either the automated system or speaking to a live agent.
What if I forget my password/PIN?
Just call Customer Service toll free at 1-877-732-7115 and we will assist you in creating a new password/PIN.
Can I close my card account and withdraw my money?
Yes. The easiest and quickest way to do this is to withdraw your money at an ATM. You can also request the funds be sent to you via check. To do this, call us at 1-877-732-7115. Once you verify your personal information, a check will be sent to you within 3 to 4 weeks. The fee for this is $15.00
How can I use the StorValue™ Card Design Studio to personalize their MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card and who designs it?
Either the Parent or the Teen can use the StorValue™ Card Design Studio within the card order function to design and personalize their MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card with their own special and unique image. If the Teen designs the card first, the Parent can review the card design and register for the program at the same time. Whatever way you choose, you're sure to have a one-of-a-kind card.
What kind of images can I use for my card design?
For best results, you should use a high quality image - the better your image, the better your final card will look. Picture files can be in either a JPEG (.jpg), PNG, GIF, Bitmap (.bmp), or TIFF formats Your image should be at least 1280x960 pixels and no more than 10 MB in size.
Can each Teen have a different card image?
Sure. If you have more than one Teen on your card account, they may each use the same image or different ones for their MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card.
What is the process for approving my image?
We review each design submitted to ensure it adheres to the StorValue™ Card Design Studio Guidelines. While we approve most designs, we will not accept any image that does not meet these guidelines which follow the Visa Issuing Guidelines. By submitting an image, you guarantee that you own or have usage rights to the image and it is permissible to alter, copy, print and distribute the image on the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StorValue™ Card Solutions, LLC, MetaBank™ or its affiliates from all claims arising from the use of the image on the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card.
Is there an additional cost to use the StorValue™ Card Design Studio for card personalization?
If applicable, any fee for creating your personal and unique card design will be communicated as a part of the sign up process. The fee is charged to the Parent's Funding Card Account upon creating your card account.
How does the StorValue™ Card Design Studio work?
The StorValue™ Card Design Studio lets you upload your own photo or an image of your choice to be printed on your MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card. You can rotate, zoom and even flip your image so it's exactly as you'd like it on the card. It's easy and fun!
How will I know if my image is accepted or not?
We will send you an email within 3 business days letting you know if your image was approved or not.
What kind of images may I use for my MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card?
You may only use personal photos or images that belong to you, as long as they do not contain any of the following prohibited content:
1. Company names, trademarks, logos, slogans, works of art, copyrighted materials or brands of any third party and their likeness.
2. Celebrities, actors, cartoons or computer games figures.
3. Advertising or promotional materials or branded products.
4. Phone numbers, addresses, URL addresses, account or PIN numbers.
5. Violent, bloody, indecent, nudity or semi-nudity, obscene, maltreatment, or content not acceptable for persons under 18 years old.
6. Culturally or socially insensitive texts or images, or those show alcohol, tobacco, gambling, firearms or other anti-social behaviors.
7. Texts or images that display the views, opinions or beliefs of political groups or religions.
8. Libelous or derogatory or defamatory content.
9. Discriminative content.
10. Provocative content.
11. Numbers, texts or images that might induce misunderstanding.
12. Instigate anti-government, overthrow government, or content which is in violation of any rules, regulations or laws.
13. Texts or images that might result in card acceptance confusion by merchants.
14. Other texts or images that are deemed not suitable for any reason for use as a MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card face by StorValue™ Card Solutions, LLC.

What happens if my image is not approved?
You will receive an email within three business days if your image was not approved. Please submit a new image that meets our Design Guidelines so that you can order your MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card.
Why does my MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card look different than it appears my computer screen?
We used the most advanced color-printing technology available to create your card, so we're confident you will be pleased with the quality. Sometimes, however, differences in your monitor and our printer result in subtle variations that are unavoidable.
How long does it take to upload an image?
The upload time depends on the size of your image and the speed of your Internet connection.
Can I use a photo of a celebrity on my card? How about the logo for my favorite team?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept images that are trademarked, protected by copyright laws or are the property of someone other than you. We encourage you to make your design unique, using something you created or photographed.
How do I load money on the card?
A Parent can load money to their teens MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card at any time. Pay your teen thru the “share funds” feature on the web site or via the IVRU at any time. A Parent can load their card via a bank to card transfer, go to www.myschooldebitcard.com and log into the cardholder dashboard for instructions or thru one of our convenient reload networks by also going to www.myschooldebitcard.com to find a reload location near you.
What is the difference between buying gas at the pump, or paying inside the store?
When you use your MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card to purchase gas, you should pay inside the store instead of the pump. When you pay at the pump, the station will send in a pre-authorization for $1.00. The system will automatically add $74.00 to that amount placing a hold on your card account for $75.00. If you do not have enough money on your card the transaction will be declined. If you do have enough money on your card account the $75.00 hold will remain on your card account until the gas station settles that transaction which can take up to 7 days. Even if you only pumped $25.00 worth of gas, the hold remains on the card account. By paying inside the store you determine the exact amount you want to apply to the card.
What is the difference between a prepaid card, a check card and a credit card?
The MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card looks similar to a Visa credit card; both have the Visa brand mark and hologram. And merchants accept it just like any other Visa debit card. The MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card does not have a credit line and will only allow you to access the prepaid amount of money that’s on the card. And similar to a check card, the money is automatically deducted from the card account.
If I lose my MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Debit Card can someone use it at an ATM?
The only way someone else could use your Card at the ATM would be if they knew your PIN. Never write your current PIN on your MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card. Call us immediately to report a lost or stolen Card at 1-877-732-7115. You can also report your Card lost or stolen online once you are logged into your Card Account.
How is the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card safer than carrying cash?
Unlike cash, if your teen’s MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Card is lost or stolen, you’re protected with the Visa Zero Liability policy.** Your teen’s card will be replaced and the balance will be sent to the new card. The Replacement Card usually arrives in five to ten business days. Call 1-877-732-7115 for any issues related to your card included reporting a lost or stolen card. Can parents set spending limits?
Yes, parents determine how much money gets loaded on the card, as well as when and how the card is loaded. How can Parents guide their Teens to the most appropriate places to shop, especially online?
Parents can review a Teen’s card account anytime and see how much they are spending and where they are spending it. Parents can discuss with their Teens how and where the card can be used. Together, you and your Teen can agree on the best places to shop. But even more important is talking to your Teen about money and what you expect from them.
Can more than one Teen be on the same MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card account?

Can a Teen sign up without a Parent ?
To enroll in the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card program, a Parent must be associated with the Teen's card account for the purpose of loading funds to the card.
Does the MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card support Direct Deposit?
Yes. If your employer, or your teen’s employer, offers direct deposit for payroll checks, you can have the check deposited directly to the parent’s MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card account. Just complete the form attached to your card carrier and submit to your employer to get started.
What are the differences between what the parents can do and the teen can do?
Only Parents can add money to the card directly from a bank account, reload network or Direct Deposit. Also, Parents alone can order a new card or reactivate a card account. In addition spending limits on the Parent card are higher than a teen card. Both the Parent and Teen will have access to the transaction details online, and can access the available alerts and other functions on the site. The Parent, being the only user with access to the load process, will be the only user with direct access to the details about the load process and the funding card account details.
Are there any daily limits to the amount of money I can spend?
The daily spending limits with your MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Card are different for Parents vs. Teens. The daily spending limits of the Parent are $2,500 for cash and purchases combined ($1,000 for PIN-based transactions and $1,500 for Signature-based purchase transactions). Bill Pay transactions do not count towards the daily spending limit. For example, you can make a total of $2,500 in purchases and a $1,000 Bill Payment (total $3,500) without exceeding your daily spending limit. ATM withdrawals have a daily limit of $500.
Teen card spending limits are lower and they also have a maximum balance allowed, which is $2,500. The maximum daily load a Parent can load to their Teen’s card is $500. Daily spending limits for the teen cards are $500 for PIN based transactions and $500 for Signature based purchase transactions. ATM withdrawals have a daily limit of $200.
What can I buy using my MySchoolDebitCard™ Visa Prepaid Debit Card?
You can purchase anything you want, as long as the merchant accepts Cards and all merchant conditions are met. You can make purchases at more than 21 million merchants, in-person, on the Internet, or over the telephone. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase adult content.
